Chris Wilkinson-Smith LLM/BCA

Chris graduated in 1995 with a LLB/ BCA, and completed his LLM in 2022 from Victoria University.
Chris is the immediate past president of the Criminal Bar Association, NZLS Litigation Skills Faculty since 2001, RIB Appeals Adjudicator and NZLS Branch President from 2021 – 2023.
He became partner in Auld Brewer Mazengarb McEwen in 1998. In 2005 he went to the private bar and practiced as a defence barrister in Auckland. He has appeared in all jurisdictions including the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court and has prosecuted and defended all categories of case.

Joshua Harvey LLB(Hons)/BA / Senior
Josh has an honours degree in Law and bachelor of arts (with a double major in criminology and politics) from the University of Auckland.
Josh is the current NZLS branch vice-president. Josh has prosecuted over 50 Crown trials and has experience prosecuting for multiple agencies including the police, Department of internal Affairs, Ministry of Social Development, SPCA and Regional Council. Josh has argued matters in the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.
Josh’s area of practice include criminal trials of all levels including homicide, proceeds of crime civil proceedings, firearms, youth and other regulatory work.
