Harry Mallalieu

Consultant

Harry is a Senior Crown Prosecutor, he was admitted to the Bar in 1999 and commenced practice as a Crown Prosecutor in Whanganui in 2001. He is a highly experienced Crown Prosecutor and also experienced in department and local regulatory prosecutions.

Harry also has experience representing the Department of Corrections in Parole Board and other hearings and appearing in the Youth and Family Courts.

Nicola Refoy-Butler

Nicola was admitted to the bar in 2013 and commenced practice as a prosecutor with the previous Whanganui Crown Solicitor. She conducts appeals, bail hearings and sentencing hearings and is moving into jury trial work. Nicola also appears on civil matters and departmental prosecutions.

Claire Middleton

Staff Solicitor
Claire graduated with an LLB and BSC in May 2017 and was admitted to the Bar in October 2017. She is engaged in legal research and submission writing and conducts bail and sentencing hearings.

Ryan Benic

Ryan graduated with LLB and BA in 2015 and and was admitted to the bar in September 2018. He is currently engaged in legal research and submission writing.
